Dresser Garden

Tim's parents were going to throw this dresser away, it had been through all 3 boys and outside under a tarp for months and had significant water damage. It was the perfect piece for this project.

So I painted it this fun turquoise that I got at Walmart in the clearance section for $3 (a gallon).

After the paint had dried for a few days, we lined all the drawers with a painters plastic we had cut up and stapled it to the inside to protect the wood from major rotting. We also drilled/poked holes through the plastic and drawer bottom for draining.

Then Tim anchored the bottom drawer in first with screws and a bracket, after that I filled it with bark and dirt on top. The bark was so it wasn't too heavy.

I found the fun rakes at savers for like $2-3 each, I will get a better picture of them, they are pretty cool and rustic. This was a way fun project, I love looking at it.
